IS THERE A PETAPALOOZA EVENT TAKING PLACE NEAR ME?

DO YOU KNOW WHAT TYPES OR BREEDS OF ANIMALS THE SHELTERS ARE BRINGING BEFORE THE EVENT?
WILL THERE BE KITTENS AND PUPPIES?
Unfortunately, no, we do not know what types/breeds or ages of animals the shelters are bringing until the morning of the event.
MAY I BRING MY CURRENT PET(S) TO THE EVENT?
YES! We love seeing your fur-kids and we encourage you to bring them to the event to meet any potential pets you may wish to adopt. All leashed and well-behaved pets are welcome. No retractable leashes, please. Please be considerate when walking your pet through the crowds. We have many elderly guests and children in attendance. Please keep your pets under control at all times. Please "curb your pet" and clean up after them at the event.
IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO BRING WITH ME TO ADOPT A PET?
We suggest you bring a valid ID and cash or check to pay any adoption fees there may be.
HOW MUCH ARE THE ADOPTION FEES?
Adoption fees will vary per shelter/rescue. For more information on adoption fees, please GO HERE.
CAN I BRING MY ADOPTED PET HOME WITH ME ON PETAPALOOZA DAY?
It depends on the shelter/rescue. Some animals are not available for same-day adoptions, and applications and home visits are required.
ARE ALL ADOPTABLE PETS AT THE EVENT SPAYED OR NEUTERED?
YES! All available adoptable pets are already spayed or neutered or if they are young, they are under contract to be spayed or neutered when they are old enough to have the procedure done.
IS THERE A UNIVERSAL PET ADOPTION APPLICATION I CAN FILL OUT BEFORE THE EVENT?
Sorry, no, each individual shelter or rescue has their own application for you to fill out at the event. All shelters and rescues will have their applications available at their booth space.
CAN I REHOME MY PET AT YOUR EVENT?
NO, please reach out to your local animal shelter for assistance in rehoming your current pet(s).
DO YOU HAVE HANDICAPPED PARKING?
We do have handicapped parking available for those with issued handicapped placards.
DO YOU HAVE RESTROOMS?
All other Curtis Lumber stores hosting PetAPalooza events have restrooms in their stores and they are handicapped accessible.
RAIN DATE INFORMATION:
The event will only be canceled due to SEVERE weather only. If we are just having rain showers or passing showers, the event will still go on. We will only cancel if there is thunder and lighting in the area. To inquire if the event has been rescheduled, check the home page of this website at 8:00 a.m. for the cancellation announcement.
